For those who are beginners, or those who just like a slower tempo, Sue Malcolm's Slow Pitch Jam is held one Monday every month from 7:30 until 9:00, after which a regular jam ensues. In order to help players new to bluegrass develop a repertoire that can be played with others, they have selected a variety of songs to learn together, and offer a booklet and CD package to jam along with at home. This is a popular night, so come early. Admission is $6 for members, and $8 for non-members.
